What to ExpectFrequently asked questions:
Where will the photo session take place? This is up to you. I work entirely on location so most clients choose their home or garden, a favorite place such as a local park, fields, canal walks, stately homes, friends or relatives homes. I would recommend that you choose somewhere where you and your family are comfortable and relaxed. What should I wear? Again this is entirely up to you. Whatever you feel comfortable and relaxed in. What you would normally wear. If we’re going on a country walk then I wouldn’t recommend ‘Sunday best!’ Some of the best shots I’ve taken are when customers wear jeans and T shirts. I would avoid football shirts, big logos or anything that would ‘date’ the photographs quickly – fashions change! It’s also a good idea (if you are looking for a styled shot) for you all to wear similar coloured clothes (all dark or all light). Having said all of that though – wear just what you like! How long will the shoot take? I always book half a day in my diary for each client. However, some sessions are complete in 30 minutes and some a couple of hours. It depends where we go and whether we choose a couple of locations and clothes changes. On average I would say a shoot takes between one and two hours. I work quickly, especially when children are involved – I will never take hours and hours to get the photographs – that’s just not fair on you! It’s meant to be a fun thing to do. Is there a limit on the number of people we can have photographed in one sitting? Not really. I’ve taken family group shots with up to 20 relatives in! Space is the only constraint. If you’re garden is big enough then the more the merrier. What happens after the shoot? I process all your digital files. I then produce a slideshow and burn onto a DVD for you to view in your PC or DVD player. If you don’t have either I can print contact sheets for you to view your photographs. I send these to you at home where you can relax, remember the day and choose your photographs. Do I have to choose quickly? Not at all. I encourage my clients to take their time – it’s a big decision. Usually customers are ready to order in a week or two. How long does it take before I receive my photographs? Most of my products are hand made just for you. They are not ‘mass produced’ This means that it takes a little longer but usually you should receive your beautiful photographs within 2 weeks following you placing your order. When do I have to pay you? You pay the session fee on the day of the photosession. You make payment for prints when you place your order. Thank you. Make checks payable to Michele Chattin.. When can I book a session? I work each day of the week so book a time to suit you. I would, however, recommend that you book sooner rather than later as my calendar gets pretty full!
